Bill Kaelin:
Bill Kaelin got involved in the nightclub industry by
chance when he was hired to launch local fashion, arts
and entertainment magazine: “Jezebel” in nightclubs
and lounges in 1995. Promoting Jezebel Magazine parties
at legendary Atlanta nightclubs like Kaya, Nomenclature
Museum, Ying Yang Cafe and Karma; Kaelin was quickly snatched
up in 1996 by South Beach “Salvation” nightclub
owners to open up Fusion Nightclub in the Midtown outlets. |
From
1996 to 1998 Kaelin created unforgettable nights like the Wednesday
night “BUMP” parties at FUSION which hosted a slew
of local DJ talent, fashion shows, special events as well as
surprise guest spots from world famous DJ’s: Danny Tenaglia,
Paul Van Dyk and more.
Swearing off the nightclub industry after leaving Fusion,
Kaelin took a year off away from the nightclub world until
the “itch” returned in 1999 resulting in events
like MUSE: The Madonna After Concert party at Karma featuring
DJ Tracy Young and the multi-media, multi-cultural phenomenon
“Kabuki Theater” with Universal Culture at eleven50.
The success of Kabuki Theater landed Kaelin the head Marketing,
PR and Promotion position at the world famous eleven50 nightclub
and special events facility for over 3 years. Kaelin and his
partners at eleven50 proceeded to host some of the most memorable
nights in Atlanta history featuring every imaginable national
and international DJ talent and live acts like Prince, Thievery
Corporation, Magic Sessions, Royksopp, and Deep Dish as well
as art openings, movie premieres and more.
Growing
more mature and craving something more intimate and mellow,
fate introduced Kaelin to Mario and Lamia Maccarrone and Castanzo
Astarita of Ciao Bella and Baraonda fame. The result was a
match made in heaven when the four joined from all four corners
of the world and partnered together to create Bazzaar: Atlanta’s
ultra hip European lounge. “I finally
feel like I have come full circle with my career” Kaelin
said. “It was time to put the glow sticks away and focus
on an intimate space where my friends could relax and simply
meet for cocktails and conversation.
The atmosphere, music and vibe is exactly where I am at in
my life. I am very grateful to everyone who has supported
me over the years, for I am only as successful from the people
that support me and my vision. Who knows what is next, but
for now I am truly happy and content….and for me that
is truly Bazzaar.”
